Carl Johnson was a former professional manager, coach and player. Most recently Carl was the Bullpen Coach for the Sussex County Miners of the CanAm Independent League. Prior to that, in 2015, Carl had a stint as a professional manager, leading the Johnstown Explorers of the East Coast Baseball League. Carl also has a wealth of experience at the collegiate level where he served as an assistant coach for the Texas Southern University staff from 2009-2011. Coach Johnson's playing career is highlighted by over 5 years of professional baseball ranging from various independent leagues to overseas competition in Australia. Prior to his professional playing career, Carl was a catcher at Grambling State University. His prep career started at Worthing High School where he was a 3 year letterman.
